FC Barcelona brag about their players in the World Cup Final: Will they no longer support Messi?
It is the fourth consecutive final to feature a FC Barcelona player
Barcelona congratulated Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde the previous evening for reaching at the World Cup Final in Qatar with France. The Catalan club bragged about the quality its squad as it will be the fourth competition in succession to highlight a Blaugrana player in the final, something that has never occurred.
Of the 17 Barcelona players to feature at the competition, the French are the ones in particular who will competing on Sunday. The Catalan club featured that of the last 13 finals, there have been Blaugrana players in eight, yet most importantly, they brought up that they have never binded together so many in succession (4).
Record
In Russia 2018, Barcelona had three delegates: Samuel Umtiti and Dembele for France and Ivan Rakitic for Croatia. Les Bleus arose successful.
In 2014, Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano played in the final in Brazil against Germany, which the Germans won. What's more;
In South Africa 2010, Barcelona had eight players as Spain played in the last against the Netherlands. Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol, Andres Iniesta, David Villa, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Pedro and Victor Valdes lifted the prize.
In the 2006 final between Italy and France, on the other hand, there was no Barcelona player.
The fact Barcelona players will feature in Sunday's final in Qatar shows that there is no shortage of talent at the team.
