Ansu Fati's situation is uncertain, according to Barcelona's vice president: "Can't guarantee 100% he'll stay."

Ansu Fati had a challenging week when he was in Barcelona. His father's furious interview, which included repeated jabs at the club, added another weight to the burden already on his shoulders.

Rafa Yuste, vice president of Barcelona, recently discussed the La Masia graduate during a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper during the Barca Academy World Cup presentation.

Yuste enumerated the many variables and decision-makers on the team in response to Fati's lack of playing time with the first team. He insisted, though, that the government continued to have faith in the child. When asked if he planned to stay with the club past the summer, Fati responded (h/t SPORT_:

"You pose a query to me. Ansu Fati's continued presence cannot be guaranteed due of my influence. A director, a technical secretariat, and a coach are present. They convey their message and their vision to the board of directors. What I can say is that the coach is relying entirely on him today.

he vice president then gave his two cents about Bori Fati’s comments against the club earlier this week and showed that the club understood the reason behind his frustration. This, needless to say, will come as a relief for the youngster.

“As a father sometimes you let yourself be carried away by emotion, you think about your son and nothing else. It doesn’t go any further, so I understand it perfectly.

“Ansu is totally focused and involved in the project and has a crazy desire to succeed here. He’s giving everything to have the minutes I’ve always told his father and him, what he’s going to have.”

Fati is expected to start when Barcelona take on Elche in the week given Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha’s absences. It would be the right opportunity for the prodigy to step up and prove that he is here to stay.

In 24 league appearances for Barcelona this season, Fati has scored only three goals and provided three assists. Further, he has created just one big chance while missing six.
