FC Barcelona to sign Iñigo Martinez

 Barcelona have reached an agreement with Iñigo Martínez over the contract duration and salary for the 31-year-old Spanish left footed center back to join the club as a free agent this summer.

The camp of Martinez want assurances that both economically and sportingly the player will not be affected by the Negreira case if a transfer takes place.

Xavi has been a big supporter of the signing as he wanted a left footed center back for some time and the player himself wants a move because he believes this is his last opportunity to join a club where he can fight for titles.
