Outcast center-back, priced at €15 million, will be put up for sale by Barcelona.

The future of Clement Lenglet has been updated by the Spanish journal MARCA. This season, the Barcelona defender was on loan at Tottenham, but his stay would soon end.

Even if the defender has shown some promise since joining the North London giants, the article claims that Barcelona has no plans to summon Lenglet back and include him in the first squad for the upcoming campaign.

The plan from Barcelona is to approve the sale of Lenglet to Tottenham. The Premier League team has already expressed interest in making the defender's transfer permanent. Barça values the player at between €10 and €15 million.

Lenglet has participated in 29 competitive games this season since joining Spurs on a loan. Alongside Cristian Romero, he has established himself as a crucial performer in the defense. He was actually one of Antonio Conte's favorites from his time as coach.

However, the article notes that due to difficulties with Tottenham's managerial status, Barcelona's negotiations with Tottenham have not yet begun. There has been a moment of uncertainty since Conte was fired by the London organization last month.

Although Cristian Stellini has been brought in to calm the situation, there has been no decision made on Lenglet's position in the team for the upcoming season or whether the club would want him to play for them. Spurs have also expressed interest in Julian Nagelsmann.

So, if Barcelona wants to approve the sale of the former Sevilla superstar, they will have to wait.

With further loanees, the Catalans are in a difficult situation. For example, Sergino Dest has struggled at AC Milan and it's unclear whether or not he will leave Camp Nou, however it's been rumored that Barça is working to arrange a swap deal involving him and top target Yannick Carrasco.
