Barça has always won without Lewandowski

Barça will play this Sunday at the Nuevo Los Cármenes in Granada without the injured Robert Lewandowski and, as the culé coach, Xavi Hernández, admitted, "it is difficult to replace a world-class striker" like the former Golden Boot and last Pichichi of the League. This same season, FC Barcelona's number 9 has scored six goals, five in the League and one in the Champions League, after having played in all the starting games except one, in Mallorca, where he came on in the second half. However, last season the Barça team was able to overcome the absence of the Polish striker and there is the data to confirm it: 7 games, 7 victories.

It must be noted, however, that without Lewandowski, Barça won 5 of those 7 games by 1-0. Four of them were in the 2022-23 League, with scores that were ultimately key to being champion: Barça beat Atlético in Madrid with a goal from Ousmane Dembélé, Getafe was defeated at the Camp Nou with a goal from Pedri, Girona bit the dust in Montilivi again with Pedri as the executor and Valencia surrendered at the Camp Nou with Raphinha's aim.

In the Cup, there was another 0-1, against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, thanks to an own goal by Eder Militao. Also in the Cup, against Intercity, Barça won without Lewandowski 3-4, with goals from Ronald Araujo, Dembélé and Ansu Fati. In the Champions League, the culé team beat Viktoria in Plzen (2-4) with two goals from Ferran Torres and one from Marcos Alonso and Pablo Torre. So except for Ferran Torres, Marcos Alonso and Araujo, none of the scorers who scored in last year's games without Lewandowski will be in Granada.
