Barça Women now on TikTok
The club uses the social media platform to interact with new audiences among the platform's more than 1 billion users and to bring the players closer to the supporters.
FC Barcelona present a new official TikTok account (@fcbfemeni) dedicated exclusively to the women's football first team. The launch comes as part of the Club's desire to create digital contents and bring the players close to the fans whilst at the same time opening up new audiences and setting them role models for the next generation.
By diversifying on TikTok, which is available in over 150 markets and has a user base of more than 1 billion people worldwide, the Club is giving the Barça women's squad the option to interact with supporters from all around the world.
The Club is dedicated to creating original, authentic material typical of the platform to draw fans of women's football on TikTok through inventive, creative, and entertaining content that puts first team players themselves in the forefront sharing day-to-day moments.
Fans will have the option to share memorable, intimate moments between players thanks to TikTok's casual and laid-back material, and they will also have access to sporting video from key moments in the season, such as matches in the Women's Champions League and Clasicos against Real Madrid.
FC Barcelona is particularly interested in the TikTok platform because of its user base's propensity for involvement and innovation. The user base is open to social diversity, enthusiastic about women's sports, and committed to empowering female athletes through genuine connections.
The launch of the new Barça Women account is accompanied by a video featuring players Asisat Oshoala and Mapi León in which the defender discovers the existence of the channel thanks to her team mate.
