Barcelona midfielder's actions during the international break have the RFEF in a rage.

Spanish football fans are very upset over the latest controversy surrounding teenage Barcelona midfielder Gavi's actions while representing his country.

The RFEF has reportedly voiced its disapproval with Gavi's decision to cancel an autograph signing in Malaga, claiming health issues, according to Sergio Santos (h/t Barça Centre).

The RFEF decided to substitute another player for Gavi after he stated he needed to relax because of headaches. Gavi's justification apparently did not satisfy the RFEF, and he was reportedly made to attend the event nevertheless.

Gavi's contract issues with Barcelona served as the backdrop to the scandal. The teenage midfielder extended his contract with the team last summer, but La Liga disapproved the agreement because of Financial Fair Play infractions.

Yet in January, the Barcelona Mercantile Court allowed Barcelona to approve the agreement. The court has since reversed its decision, which has resulted in the cancellation of Gavi's contract registration.

Since the midfielder anticipates an uncertain summer, Gavi's recent altercations with RFEF could add still another dimension to the story. The athlete has reverted to his prior contract, which ends at the conclusion of the current season, as a result of the cancellation of his contract registration.

The Barcelona prodigy, though, is still optimistic that the team will be able to come up with a solution by May. Yet his predicament hasn't gone ignored; teams like Manchester City and Liverpool are closely monitoring the midfielder's future.
