Target for Atletico Madrid is reluctant to leave Barcelona in the summer

According to the source, the player was the subject of inquiries regarding a prospective loan transfer from Atletico Madrid and an unnamed Italian team in January. Barcelona declined at the time owing to a lack of substitutes, but they have not yet made a decision about his situation.

The Spaniard was acquired from Manchester City during the winter transfer window of 2022 for just about €55 million. While he had a strong start with four goals and four assists in 18 games, there were severe concerns about his ability to finish.

This season, Ferran has scored just two goals in 23 games while missing seven significant chances, giving statistical proof to those fears. He is also underachieving his xG by more than two goals.
